The J Bar H Ranch is located near the town of Cody Wyoming were Buffalo Bill spent most of his days. The
ranch is separated into three separate parts that are connected by Bureau of Land Management Lease land.
The whole ranch is compiled by 4,560 deeded acres and approximately 35,000 lease acres. Parts of the
ranch are situated on the Greybull river accompanied by beautiful views of the river and the Heart Mountains.
The mountain tract that is situated on the Table mountain due mainly because of there plateau tops has
views of the Carter, Heart, Wind River, and Big Horn Mountain ranges. Also, from the mountain tract wild
horses can be seen because the property backs up to the 15 mile horse preserve. There are three ranch
houses on the property with the main house having a square footage of roughly 7,000 feet. The ranch also
has a working farm on it that grows alfalfa seed, hay, dry beans, corn, and malt barley. The ranch is full of
wildlife including such things as mule deer, pronghorn, pheasant, sage grouse, and the occasional elk. The
river is also teeming with fish from large rainbows to brown trout. The J Bar H Ranch is only an hour and a
half from Red Lodge Ski Resort, one hour from the entrance of Yellowstone National Park and 30 minutes
from the town of Cody that has flights daily in and out of Cody with Delta and United.
